Obituary for Lewis Elbert Wright Medicine Lodge, KS – Lewis “Elbert” Wright, 87, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center in Pratt. Elbert was born on November 28, 1930 to John Carroll and Marjorie L. (Raymond) Wright at Medicine Lodge. On June 19, 1956 he married Viola May (Haynes) Wright at Medicine Lodge, KS.

She preceded him in death on January 3, 2016. Elbert was a member of the United Methodist Church in Medicine Lodge and the Medicine Lodge Coffee Club. He is survived by his two sons, Steve (Brenda) Wright of Medicine Lodge, Dan Wright of Garden City, KS; a daughter, Linda (Gerald) Dick of Pratt; a brother, Robert Carroll (Jocelyn) Wright of Austin, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Johnny Wright; and a granddaughter, Heather Wright. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Medicine Lodge, KS with Rev.

Paul Stephens presiding. Inurnment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, KS. Memorials may be made to the Project Agape-Local Missions Fund (Medicine Lodge Methodist Church) in care of Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS.
