Obituary for Helen Louise Miller Pratt, Kansas ~ Helen Louise Miller, 97, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at her home in Pratt. She was born February 19, 1921 in Pratt to Arthur Douglas and Ida Belle (Griffith) Farmer. On July 4, 1941 she married Robert “Bob” Grandon Miller in Pratt.

He preceded her in death in 1955. Helen owned Jets Department Store in Pratt with her brothers. They were in business for more than 50 years.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pratt, P.E.O. and was a part of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority with the University of Kansas. She enjoyed gardening and art. She is survived by her granddaughter, Kim (Eric) Grasberger; great grandchildren, Emily Ann and Jack Elliott Grasberger all of Portland, Oregon; and nephews and nieces, Doug Farmer, Joan Farmer, Phil (Susie) Farmer, Diane Yeager, Bill (Jennifer) Farmer and Art (Mary) Farmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; son, Robert Michael Miller; and brothers, Don, Bob, Larry and Rich Farmer. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, Pratt.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt. Memorials may be made to Pratt Area Humane Society or Pratt Gardening Club in care of Larrison Mortuary.
