David Arrex “Dooter” Burleson, age 39, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019. A native of Burke County, he was born on January 12, 1979 to Lydia Woody Price of Nebo. Dooter had a good heart and was a generous, giving person.

He lived for his beautiful daughter, who was his world, and loved all his family very much, especially his beloved mother. Always willing help others in need, he will be remembered for his sweet personality and charitable nature. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lotus Moody Woody.

Surviving, in addition to his mother and his Dad, Leonard, are his daughter, Destiny Burleson, two sisters, April and Heather Woody, and his grandparents, Roy and Doris Woody. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion. A funeral service will take place the next day, Monday, at Buck Hill Presbyterian Church in Crossnore with Rev.

Robert Deyton officiating. Burial will follow in the Benfield Cemetery. Memorials may be made to benefit his daughter at PO Box 247, Marion, NC 28752.
