Shirley Marshall, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away peacefully shortly after midnight on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Autumn Care of Marion. Having just celebrated her 83rd birthday on December 26, 1935, born in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace Wiandt Hughes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Marshall; two sons, Bob Robinson and Bruce Robinson; one brother, Tommy Hughes and one sister, Barbara Kenny.

A wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and friend, Shirley loved spending quality time with her family and working on crossword puzzles. Left to cherish her precious memories are her two daughters, Lisa McKinney and her husband, Lee of Marion, and Nancy Lee of Irving, Texas; eight grandchildren, Angela McKinney and her fiancée, Evan Roberts, Holden McKinney, Porter McKinney, Reese McKinney, Chris Lee and his wife, Lan, Alex Lee, Nick Lee and Joey Lee. She is also survived by one great grandson, Beckham and one great granddaughter on the way, Willow.
