Obituary for David H. Winney David H. Winney, 76, of Fayville Road, Broadalbin passed away on Friday morning January 4, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Broadalbin on January 12, 1942 a son of LeRoy and Myra Harvey Winney and was a 1961 graduate of Broadalbin Central School. David was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Winney was an electrician for over thirty years and was a member of the IBEW Local #236 of Schenectady. He later worked as a logger for ten years. David loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was a veteran of the US Army. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, John and Barry Winney; and a sister, Blanche Morin. Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Sandra Bottisti Winney, whom he married on February 10, 1968; three children, Kimberly Arnold, David (Teresa) Winney, and Brian (Andrea) Winney, all of Broadalbin; a brother, Phillip (Janice) Winney of Broadalbin; five beloved grandchildren, Cassandra, Emily Grace, Natalia, and Alexandra Winney, and Patrick Arnold; an aunt, Marion Elliot; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his beloved dog, Bear.

In accordance with David’s wishes there will be no services. Cremation was performed at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga Springs or to the Galway Volunteer Ambulance Corps, both in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc. 111 County Highway 106, Johnstown, NY 12095.
