David’s Obituary HUDSON FALLS — David James Fish Sr., 59, of Pearl St., passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side. Born March 11, 1959, in Glens Falls, he was the son of James C. and Judith A. (Ringer) Fish. After graduating from Queensbury High School, he learned the glass trade from his father and become a Master Glazier.

Eventually Dave became the owner and operator of the business his father began, which is now operated by his sons, Jim’s Glass Service. Some of his enjoyments included hiking, biking, traveling, riding his Harley, and camping. He also loved being a hockey dad and spending time in Lake Placid.

On September 5, 1993, he and Laurie Wolfe eloped to York Beach, Maine, and were married on Long Sands Beach. He served as a member of Adirondack Mountain Club, National Park Service, and also USA Triathlon. Dave’s family was always his number one priority, putting all of us first above himself.

He was always the first one there when we needed him. He was always there to guide us so we could experience life in the fullest. We always knew he loved us and we will always love him and carry his love in our hearts.

His legacy will be carried on through the family he loved so much. Dave was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Matilda and Wilbur Ringer; paternal grandparents, Gertrude and Clifford Fish; a grandson, Lucas James; and his father-in-law, Lawrence Wolfe Sr. In addition to his parents, Jim and Judy Fish, those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Laurie W. Fish; four children, Joshua (Theresa) Fish, Joel (Kristine) Fish, David J. Fish II, and Danielle Fish; grandchildren, Ryan, Reagan, Haleigh, Peyton, and Brielle; a sister, Jamie Fish Parrotte (Christopher); aunts and uncles, Bill (Laurene) Ringer, Mike Ringer, Annette Brockway (Mark), Elizabeth Vicioso and Wray Longdaue (Linda); in-laws, Larry (Patty) Wolfe, Tammy Wolfe, and Tom (Penny) Wolfe; also several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Calling hours will take place Tuesday, October 30 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Thomas Babiuch, pastor of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ft. Edward, officiating.

The family would like to extend an invitation to the Fort Edward Fire House on Broadway in Fort Edward immediately following the memorial service. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Hospice, the staff at C. R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital as well as the special caring team of professionals in Tower 2, the oncology floor, who took very special care of Dave and our entire family.
