David Orlando Russell, 52, of Charleston Avenue, Kannapolis, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Chapel Hill Medical Center, He was born, July 31, 1966 in Cabarrus County to the late George W. Russell and the late Berthena Knox Russell. David graduated A.L. Brown High School and was an Electrical Technician. He was a member of Bethpage United Presbyterian Church where he served in the Men’s Organization.

Services will be held Friday, October 5, at Bethpage United Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 PM with funeral services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, George Gregory Russell and Eddie Wayne Russell. Those left to cherish fond memories include,His wife, Joyce B. Russell of the home; two daughters, Shania Mims, Jasmin Davis both of the home; one son, Roddricus Neal of Kannapolis; four granddaughters, Alexis, Arianna “Molly”, Aubrey, Nyla “Chicken Little”; one sister, Sarah White of Kannapolis; three brothers, Bennie Russell (Evelyn), Tony Russell (Belinda) and Donald Russell all of Kannapolis; two aunts, Annie Grier, Naomi Knox both of Kannapolis; one uncle, Cletus Knox of Kannapolis; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
