Terry Lane Rivers, 55, of Shade Valley Lane, Charlotte, passed away Monday, October 1, at Novant Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte. He was born, July 8, 1963 in Cabarrus County to the late Alonzo Cauthen, Jr. and the late Mary M. Rivers. Terry was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School, University of Phoenix and ECPI.

He served in the US Army and was employed by Aerotek. Terry was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and had joined Central Church in Charlotte.

Services will be held Monday, October 8, at Central Church 5301 Sardis Road, Charlotte. Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 AM with funeral services at 11:00 AM. Burial will be Tuesday, October 9, at 9:00 AM at the VA National Cemetery, Salisbury.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Rivers, Ernest Rivers; and sister, Patricia Patton. Those left to cherish fond memories include, two sons, Daniel Terrence Rivers of Munich, Germany, Terry Rivers, Jr. of Charlotte; one daughter, Scierra Bratton of Charlotte; one sister, Jackie Cauthen Rivers of Concord; nieces, Apra Drye of Concord, Melissa Rivers of Concord; nephews, Michael Rivers of Kannapolis, Richard Patton of Richmond, VA; special cousin, Jessie Hailey-Campbell of Charlotte and a host of other relatives and friends.
