He was born on April 24, 1932 to Arthur (Boston) and Myrtle (Astrope) Murray in Culbertson. He attended grade school at Flat Center Country School just two miles north of their home, fourteen miles west of Homestead. They moved to Medicine Lake, Mt.

so he could attend High School. He graduated Valedictorian of his class in 1950. Due to his father’s illness, he stayed home to help with the farming, and lived there the rest of his life.

He married his high school sweetheart, Imojean Lyson on March 20, 1954. They made their home on the farm for the next 64 years. David took great pride in his farming and ranching.

Being self taught on everything he never found anything that was too big a challenge. He added a bathroom onto his Mother’s house when he was 18 years old. It was probably one of the first sunken bathrooms in the country.

It turned out fine except the floor was about an inch and a half lower than the adjoining room. He loved bowling, camping and traveling, but his hobby was probably work. He was by nature a quiet man and a very hard worker.

He especially enjoyed following his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in all of their sporting activities. David was a member of the Medicine Lake Congregational Church and served on the board for many years. He is survived by his wife, son, Kim (Denise), of Froid, daughter Judy Grimsrud, of Bainville, son Jack (Jody) of Great Falls, Mt… Grandchildren Gina (Casey) Aasheim of Reserve, Blake (Amanda) Murray, Froid, Cam Friede (fiancée, Erica Elvsaas), Miranda Murray (fiancé, Jesse Hilbig), Dylan Murray (fiancé, Tana Marble).

Eight Great Grandchildren, Carson and Logan Aasheim, Leah, Bryce and Kade Murray, Mathew Hilbig and Macie and Buckley Elvsaas. Also survived by a sister in law Ardella Madsen, brother in law Ranse Lyson (Molly) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Laverne and her husband Iven Rickel, Jr., in laws Leonard and Myrtle Lyson , brother in law, Erling Madsen and nephew Val Rickel.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a private burial later this summer.
