On May 18, 1997 Glen Arthur and Camille Nicole Clinkscale were blessed with the birth of their youngest child, a son, whom they named De’Vante Ty’Kel Clinkscale. De’Vante was born in Chapel Hill and raised in Burlington, North Carolina. He grew up in a home of love with his parents; grandfather; brothers and sisters; Anthony Ja’Waan Cox, Jai’mauni De’Shon Clinkscale, Glennisha Nichole Clinkscale, Glen Arthur Clinkscale, Jr. and Tay’awna Mo’nae Clinkscale.

He graduated from Walter Williams High School in 2015. He was employed at Wings To Go and was making plans on joining the United States Air Force. De’Vante B.K.A “De De”, Young Veent or Young Dip to family and friends, was a very charismatic, outgoing, lively young man who was known for his smile, laugh, personality and for being the life of the party.

During his short time here, De De taught us how to enjoy life. De De was a son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and friend. Everyone can attest they were blessed to have known him and he will be missed by all.

He was welcomed into the arms of God on December 23, 2018 and will now watch over us all.
