Debra L Jones, June 17, 1957 — March 12, 2019

Debra Lynn Jones, 61, Beloit, WI moved onto the next chapter of her life on March 12, 2019. Debra was born June 17, 1957 in Chicago, IL to Jean and Arthur Drozek and is now reunited with both. She grew up in Wildwood, IL with her 5 siblings, Tony, Cheryl, Denise, Mike, and Sue.

She met Travis Jones, fell in love and the two married in 1983. From there she became the proud mother to Travis Jr. in May of 1984 and Matthew in September of 1985. She spent the rest of her days being a wonderful wife, amazing mother, role model, instilling her own great qualities into her children, along with being an unforgettable person.

She was an amazing woman with a heart of gold and a smile that would light up the darkest room. She loved her family, friends, and the simpler things in life. She was artistic and had an incredible ability to make the most eclectic décor come together to create a warm and comfortable environment.

She loved gardening and looked forward to each spring as the colors would return to the world so both her and her dog could sit outside, breath the fresh air, and enjoy the peace and tranquility. She was very outgoing and made the most out of each day. She was a member of the local women’s Red Hats Chapter in Beloit, was an active member at Central Christian Church, and always found time to help and listen to others.

She enjoyed searching the shores of Lake Michigan for sea glass and shells and frequently went on new adventures, experiencing as much as she could. Debra is survived by her family, her many friends, all the lives she has touched throughout her time here and by the memories she created for all of us. Services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 in the Central Christian Church, 2460 Milwaukee Rd, Beloit WI.

Visitation of remembrance will start at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by memorial service beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Dave Meding officiating. There will then be a celebration of life to follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Sidelines Sports Pub, 731 S. Wurthering Hills Dr, Janesville, WI in the lower level of the facility. Per request of the departed, please make memorials in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as she wanted to help the kids there instead of receiving floral arrangements and such.
