Dennis Eugene Harp, 58, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House. Known to family and friends as “Dennie”, he was born January 20, 1960, the son of the late Franklin Eugene and Minnie Sue Doby Harp. For the last 8 ½ years, he worked as a truck driver for Rick Mabe Grading Company.

Survivors include one son, Ethan Ashley (Leeza); one brother, David Harp (Karen), and two sisters, Debbie Williams and Donna Burton (Randy), all of Advance; three grandchildren: Colton, Lee and Shayleigh Roseman; a special cousin, Mike Cothran; plus several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Harp. The Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, September 24, at the Advance First Baptist Church with Pastor Rodney Hellard officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the hour of service in the church. Interment will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. Serving as Pallbearers will be Ethan Ashley, D.J. Harp, Austin Freidt, John Parker, Mike Cothran, Wyatt Burton and Randy Burton, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be directed to Davie Funeral Service, 416 Valley Road, Mocksville, NC 27028 to help offset final expenses.
