Dennis James Townsend, 65 of Creswell, Oregon passed away July 11, 2018. He was born June 1, 1953, in Cottage Grove, OR to Clement and Lldean (Adamson) Townsend. Dennis graduated from Cottage Grove High School.

He was a diesel mechanic, did asphalt paving and worked on heavy equipment. Dennis enjoyed car racing and wood working. He was a member of the Creswell Church of Christ.

Dennis married Diana Bonilla on July 19, 1994, in the Church of Christ, Cottage Grove, OR. He is survived by his wife Diana Townsend, Creswell, OR, son Brian (Debra), Spokane, WA, son Sandivar (Ji), Huntington Beach, CA, daughter Jane (Spencer), Vancouver, WA, daughter Kristel, Cottage Grove, OR, daughter Roxanne, Creswell, OR, son Jeremy (Marci), Cottage Grove, OR, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Douglas Townsend.

A memorial and pot luck reception will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Creswell Church of Christ. Arrangements by Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, 123 S. 7th St., Cottage Grove, OR 97424.
