Obituary for Diana Petkovich Diana Petkovich of Valley Cottage, N.Y., passed away at her home on Wednesday June 20, 2018 with her two children, granddaughter, and close friend by her side. She was born on April 28, 1943 in Belgrade, Serbia and came to the United States in 1958. She was a resident of Rockland County for almost 44 years.

She studied at the University of Belgrade and at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She was a Textile and Fashion designer. She loved people and animals.

Always helping those in need and personally rescuing hundreds of animals and providing them food, shelter, and support. She was predeceased by her husband of over 43 years, Milutin; and her mother, Djurdjevka; who lived with her until their death. She is survived, loved and missed by her daughter Lily (and husband Charlie); son Bo (and wife Esther); grandchildren Karoline, Emma, and Chloe; brother George; sisters Lori and Adrijana; and her extended family.
