Obituary for Georgiana F. Renc Georgiana Renc died on Sunday November 18, 2019 after a long illness. She was born on October 9, 1925 in Long Island City, Queens. She met her future husband, George, at a Czech social gathering; they married on June 29, 1946.

They lived in Pearl River for most of their life where they raised their four children- Jeanne, Linda, Ellen and Bill. “Georgie” was a devoted and loving wife and mother, always focused on her family’s well-being. She was involved in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts when her children were in school and enjoyed playing Mahjongg with friends on the block.

Her greatest joy, above all, was being an active and involved grandma to Steven, Jeff, Tom, Sean, Brian, Cindy, Laura, Katie, Marissa and Alex – often babysitting and introducing them to “vařila myšička kašičku”. She was always happy to welcome her great grandchildren – Emily, Allen, Maddi, Declan, Sam, Ben, Will, Caroline, Eva, Farah, Sophie, Santino, Luke, Hailey and Reaganand recently welcomed Alana and Taylor. Each of them knew she was a special lady.

Georgie will always be remembered as a caring mom, grandma, and great- grandma. She will be forever cherished in our hearts. Visiting will be held on today (Tuesday) from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 AM at St. Anthony’s Church in Nanuet, NY. Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery. We’re sorry but the candle you have selected is currenty in the process of being purchased or has just recently been purchased.
