Obituary for Don E. Roediger Don E. Roediger, 89, of Wapakoneta, died Mon. evening, May 14, 2018, at his home. He was born Dec.
4, 1928, in Wapakoneta, OH, the son of Alfred & Ruby (Wentz) Roediger, who preceded him in death. He was married to Kathleen Kah and she preceded him in death. Then on April 28, 1984, he married La Rose Nedderman Bartlett, and she survives.
Other survivors include, 6 children, Ivy (Joe) Metzger, Wapakoneta, Tina Music, Lima, Amy (Mike) Weiler, Jon (Kathryn) Roediger, Ted Roediger, & Dan (Sue) Roediger, all of Wapakoneta, 5 step-children, Bradley W. (Marie) Bartlett, Stanley Bartlett, both of St. Marys, Shirley (Doug) Dosky, Columbus, Deborah (Ray) Karbowiak, Lima, & Jeffrey Bartlett, Columbus, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, including Elizabeth & Victoria Bartlett, 9 Step-great grandchildren, 1 step-great great grandchild, 2 sisters, Ruth (Doug) Horlick, Toledo, OH, & Jean (Jerry) Ogata, Prescott, AZ, a sister-in-law, Evelyn Roediger, Wapakoneta, He was preceded in death by a son, Don E. Roediger, Jr., and a brother, Roger Roediger. Don began his career milking jersey cows and hauling milk. He later installed bulk milk tanks, and was a truck driver for Standard Oil Co
He owned and operated Don Roediger Grain Hauling, and worked as a courier at the Joint Twp. District Memorial Hospital until his retirement in 2017. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #691, both of Wapakoneta.
His other memberships included the Buckeye Farm Antiques and the Tri-State Gas Engine Club of Portland, IN. Don was always busy fixing things and enjoyed attending tractor and farm shows. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Sat.
May 19, 2018, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, 1102 Lincoln Ave. (St. Rt. 501), Wapakoneta, Pastor Ed Rinehart officiating.
Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Fri. at the funeral home.
