Obituary for Eula Mae Niese Eula Mae Niese, age 91, of Wapakoneta, passed away peacefully at 9:25 am on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, OH. She was born on January 13, 1927 in Wapakoneta, OH to Michael and Matilda (Nester) Heinl. She married Robert Niese on June 13, 1946.

Eula was faithfully devout in every aspect of her life from her faith to her family, from reading the daily paper to recording life’s events in her daybook. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Robert, children Michael Niese, Sonia (David) Stroh, and Lora (Jim) Brown. Eula will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Sarah (Tom) Lipps, Jonathan (Ashley) Stroh, Amy (Clint) Bailey, Emily (Andy) Nentwich, Kevin Brown, Megan Brown, and four great-grandchildren Noah, Evan, Annalise, and Emmaline Lipps.

She is preceded in death by her siblings Rosemary (Heinl) Burke, Harry Heinl, and Carol (Heinl) Eisert. Eula was first and foremost a homemaker. She also worked as a court bailiff, a clerk at JC Penney, and a jury commissioner for Auglaize Co

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, and sang in the Resurrection Choir. Eula was a 1945 graduate of St. Joseph High School. She was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed crocheting, and baking.

According to her family, she baked the best pumpkin pies. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tues. May 8, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, with Rev.

Sean Wilson officiating. Burial is to follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m., Mon.

May 7, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, 1102 Lincoln Ave. , (St. Rt. 501) Wapakoneta.
