Obituary for Ora E. “Shorty” King Ora E. “Shorty” King, Jr., 74, of Wapakoneta, died 8:20 a.m., Sat. June 2, 2018, at Auglaize Acres. He was born Aug.

2, 1943, in New Knoxville, OH, the son of Ora E. & Mary (McMillan) King, Sr., who preceded him in death. On Nov. 26, 1965, he married Ruth Ann Powers, and she preceded him in death on Jan.

23, 2001. Survivors include, 4 children, Lisa Walker, Sidney, OH, Steven King, Lima, Robin Eisert, Wapakoneta, & Michael King, Botkins, 5 grandchildren, Craig (Erin) Eisert, Jr., Amber King, Kari Richwine, Dustin Richwine, & Chloe King, 2 great grandsons, Sebastian & Braxton, sisters, Margaret Vian, Betty Ruppert, Alice Tingler, Joyce Furry, & Linda King, and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Alex Edson, a great granddaughter, Anna Eisert, and siblings, James King, David King, Donald King, and Leona Hoskins.

Shorty retired from Steinke Construction, Wapakoneta. He had previously worked for Stinebaugh Construction Co He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #691, Wapakoneta.

His hobbies included throwing horseshoes, watching auto races, and calling bingo at the Acres. Shorty was a graduate of Blume High School. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m., Fri.

June 8, 2018, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, 1102 Lincoln Ave. (St. Rt. 501) Wapakoneta, with Pastor Ed Rinehart officiating.

Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m., until time of the service, Fri. at the funeral home.
