Obituary for Robert F. “Bob” Camper Robert F. “Bob” Camper, 85, of Wapakoneta, died 3:10 p.m., Sat. July 21, 2018, at Wapakoneta Manor. He was born Sept.

26, 1932, in Lima, the son of Floyd & Alma (Feil) Camper, who preceded him in death. On Jan. 14, 1961, he married Joann N. Kettler, and she survives.

Other survivors include, 4 children, Sandy (Chester) Cary, Lima, Glen (Lisa) Camper, Wapakoneta, Neil (Cheryl) Camper, Pensacola, FL, Judy (Mike) Schaub, Wapakoneta, 8 grandchildren, Danielle (Josh) Zimmerman, Cole Cary, Tiffanie Camper, Alyssa Camper, Ryan Camper, Caitlin Schaub, Audra Schaub, & Hannah Schaub, 2 great grandchildren, Makaylah & Zander Zimmerman, 2 sisters, Sharon Campbell, & Susan (Dick) Feil, and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings & spouses, Faye Janelle Camper, William (Joyce) Camper, Tom (Nancy) Camper, and his brother-in-law, Jack Campbell. Bob worked as an engineer at Sheller-Globe, and retired from General Dynamics, both of Lima.

He was a graduate of Blume High School, and the Bowling Green State University. He served in the U.S. Navy and Army. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wapakoneta.

He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #691, and a former member of the Amvets, Post #333, both of Wapakoneta. Bob enjoyed working on classic cars with his sons, and attending car shows. He supported his grandchildren by attending their activities, and his other hobbies included woodworking and gardening.

In his younger years, he served as a cub scout leader, enjoyed bowling, and ball room dancing. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tues. July 24, 2018, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, 1102 Lincoln Ave.

, (St. Rt. 501), Wapakoneta, with Pastor Becky Sunday officiating. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta, where military rites will be conducted by the Wapakoneta V.F.W. Post #8445.

The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., Mon. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
