Don Irvin Ward, age 86, Stony Ridge, OH passed away at home on Saturday, June 9, 2018. He was born at home in Walbridge, OH on March 14, 1932 to the late Irvin Isaac and Goldie Mae (Thompson) Ward. Don was raised on a small farm and graduated from Lake High School.

He served his country proudly while enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953. On January 21, 1956 he married MaryAnn Bowling in Toledo, OH and she survives. For several years he worked on the B&O… Read More » Railroad as a supply clerk and then worked 33 years for Libbey-Owens-Ford in Rossford, OH ending his career as a Quality Inspector of automotive glass windows.

After retirement he enjoyed gardening and keeping his yard in perfect condition along with “puttering” in the garage. Don’s vehicles were kept in pristine condition. He was an avid NASCAR fan with his favorite driver being Richard Petty.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 62 years: MaryAnn, son: Donald Ward of Toledo, OH, daughter: Denise (Lochotzki) of Orange, CA, grandchildren: Donald Ward II of Colorado Springs, CO, Craig ( Felicia)Ward of Toledo, OH, Andrew Lochotzki of Kansas City, MO, Grant Lochotzki of San Francisco, CA, great-granddaughter: Lily Ward of Colorado Springs, CO, sister: Shirley Jean (Mike) Barnes Onsted, MI and brother: Floyd (Butch)Ward. Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 Main Street, Luckey, OH with a memorial service to follow at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be private in Troy Twp. Cemetery, Luckey, OH.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to: American Brain Tumor Association or Korean War Veterans Memorial.
