Robert William Zellin, age 87, of Pemberville, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at Bowling Green Manor, Bowling Green. He was born on November 3, 1930 in Toledo, OH to Arthur and Esther (Smith) Zellin. He married Bernita Ruth Noward on February 15, 1949, in the Haskins Federated Church.

Bob and Bernita would raise 3 children and celebrate over 66 years of marriage before Bernita passed away on November 25, 2015. After his father died he moved back to Pemberville and dabbled in farming. He started R&B Power Equipment with his wife Bernita, selling and repairing lawnmowers. He also worked for Walter Warnke Trucking in Pemberville and later became a school bus driver for Eastwood Schools.

He transferred to the State of Ohio Maintenance Department at the rest stops near Bowling Green on I-75, later retiring from there. He and his wife loved to travel with their camper. Bob had a real passion for collecting die-cast miniature farm machinery and had an extensive collection of miniature tractors and accessories.

He is survived by his daughter; Kathleen (Steven) David of Wayne, sons; Keith (Debbie) Zellin of Haskins, Scott “Doc” Zellin of Pemberville, 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and his pet Dachshund Sully. In addition to his wife Bernita, Bob was preceded in death by his parents. As per his wishes, services will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, Pemberville, OH. In lieu of flowers memorials may take the form of contributions to: The Freedom Twp. EMS or the Wood County Humane Society.
