Elizabeth “Ann” (Grieser) Bruning, age 85 of Pemberville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio. Ann was born on September 1, 1933 in New Madison, Ohio, to James Lavigne and Wanda William (Thomas) Griffith. She graduated from Piqua High School in 1951 and then in 1954 as a Registered Nurse from the Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton, Ohio.

Together, they would raise two sons and celebrate nearly 37 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in 1997.
She would later marry Dale Matthew Bruning in Pemberville, Ohio on August 4, 2001 and they would celebrate nearly 10 years together before his passing in 2011. Ann was very compassionate and involved in the community. Among her many memberships were the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Bethlehem Church Women.
She was also a member of the Library Book Discussion Club, Friends of the Library, Freedom Township American Legion Auxiliary #183, Mental Culture Club and the Red Hats. Ann is survived by her son: Michael (Janice) Grieser of Pemberville, Ohio, grandsons: Chad (Ashley) Grieser of Van Buren, Ohio, Benjamin (Luvern) Grieser of CA, step-daughters: Sue (Thomas) Carson of SC, Carol (George) Kidman of FL, Jill Campbell of FL, step grandchildren: Alex Kidman and Allison Kidman of FL, Duncan Campbell and Mackenzie Campbell of FL, great-grandchildren: Ethan, Ellie and Charlie Grieser of Van Buren, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands Donald and Dale, Ann was preceded in death by her parents, son: David B. Grieser and brother, James T. (Gladys) Griffith.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 3:00 pm. - 8:00 pm. at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, Ohio.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pemberville, where there will be additional time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Rev. Matthew Musteric will be officiating.
There will be a bereavement luncheon served in the church fellowship hall immediately following the funeral services. A Committal Service will be held in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Jenera, OH, following the luncheon. Memorials may take the form of contributions to: Bethlehem Lutheran Church or the Pemberville Public Library.
