A funeral service for Don Rushing, age 80, of LaRue, is scheduled at 2 o’clock in the afternoon Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. He passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Don was born August 1, 1937 in Chandler, Oklahoma to Dallas and Edna (Bottoms) Rushing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Reneé Rushing; and four brothers and one sister. Left to cherish his memory is his… Read More » wife of 64 ½ years, Mary Rushing of LaRue; daughters, Shelia Jernigan of Port Lavaca, Sandra Ducker of LaRue, Shara Gentry of Nevada; and son, Darrell Rushing of LaRue. He is also survived by his sisters, Ruth Deal of Justin and Thelma Boltz of California; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren including Chris and Nathan Ducker of LaRue; five great-great grandchildren and multitude of nieces and nephews.
