A graveside service for J. C. Hunt, age 80, of Houston, formerly of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 2 o’clock in the afternoon Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Walkers Chapel Cemetery in Reklaw. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Mr. Hunt passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 in Houston.

He was born January 28, 1938 in Florence, Tx. to Rubin Floyd and Ruth Faye Baker Hunt. J. C. served in the Navy.

He loved to fish, riding horses and going on trail rides. … Read More » He was a welder by trade. Preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Floyd Spain; sons, J. C. Hunt and Scott Hunt; brothers, Larry Bill Hunt and Billy Joe Hunt.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Patsy of Houston; step-daughters Susan Coffey and her husband Richard of Rusk, Shirley Kemp of Houston; step-son Arthur Beasley and wife Sally of Temple; a half-brother, Floyd Spain, Jr.; 6 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Autry Funeral Home beginning on Monday June 11.
