Obituary for Donald C. Morris Passed away at Rock Run Memory Care, Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Age 78 years. Survived by his wife Sonja M. Morris (nee Meneese), Two sons Charles (Janet) Morris and Thomas Morris and a step-son Scott (Laura) Lewis.

A step-daughter Cynthia Lewis. Seven grandchildren Kaitlyn, Ryan, Hannah, Zach, Chloe, Kyla and Ally. His brother James R. (Kathleen) Morris and sister Linda (Joseph) Elmore.

Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Corby J. Morris (1984) and Fayola F. Morris (nee Bean) (2008). Don was born December 16, 1939 in Centralia, Illinois.

Graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1957, Joliet Junior College Class of 1959 and University of Illinois Champaign Class of 1961 with his Bachelor Degree of Business and Marketing. Co-owner and operator of The Camera House East & West Side for over 40 years. Veteran of the U.S. Army, member of American Legion Post #1080 and member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Don enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling especially to Florida and Washington Island, WI. and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Don always looked forward to pizza night with the boys and yearly golf outings in Wisconsin.

Don’s family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Rock Run Memory Care and Great Lakes Hospice Care for their care and compassion. Memorial service will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd. , Monday, April 15 at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association or Great Lakes Hospice will be appreciated.
