Arthur W. “Art” Kapinus, age 91, at rest on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Joliet Area Community Hospice, with his loving family by his side. Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Adeline (nee Stec) Kapinus; daughter, Patty (Mark) Rojkowski; sons, Joe (Linda) Kapinus and Bob (Cindy) Kapinus; four grandchildren, Ryan (Courtney Bissey) Rojkowski, Justin (Nicole) Kapinus, Stefanie Kapinus and Kristin (Bob) Townsend; two-great-granddaughters, Rayna Kapinus and Hannah Townsend; brothers, Ray Kapinus, Bob (Roberta) Kapinus, and Bernie Kapinus; sisters, Fran Quaresima and Irene Turner; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth (nee Mrohaly) Kapinus; brothers, Joseph (WWII), John, Donald and Andrew Kapinus; sisters Ann Kapinus, Mary Kapinus and Bette Rogel.

Arthur was a lifelong resident of Joliet. He retired in 1990 as a pipefitter/plumber from the Pipefitters Local Union #597 formerly #422. Arthur was a proud United States Navy Veteran and a life member of the Stone City VFW Post #2199.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful care givers at Willow Falls Assisted Living Facility, Autumn and Lu, as well as Joliet Area Community Hospice Nurse, Cynthia, your care and compassion were truly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations in Arthur’s name may be made to Joliet Area Community Hospice. Celebration of Arthur’s life will begin on Friday, June 1, 2018 with a memorial visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL.
