Donald R Powers, 72, of Terre Haute passed away December 21, 2018 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born on February 23, 1946 to Fred Powers and Rose (Brock) Powers. He is preceded in death by both parents; son Donnie Powers; brothers Leo Powers and Tom Powers; Sister Frieda Hojem, and his grandchild Dustin.

Don is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna; son Kerry Powers (Becky); Daughters Marilyn Fagg (Jerry) and Dawn Shroyer (Kirk); Daughter-in-law Michele; Brother Jim Powers; Grandchildren JT, Judy, Chris, Chelsie, Austin, Fred, Brandon, Christian, Hannah and Erika; 16 great-grandchildren with one on their way; several nieces and nephews, as well as his special friend Rob Patterson. Don belonged to the Masonic Lodge. He owned and operated Powers Trucking for many years.

Don loved his semis. He loved going to Denny’s as well as Pat’s Café. Don enjoyed going to casinos and playing the penny slots.

More than anything Don loved watching his grandchildren play sports. Don received Dialysis treatment at Fresenius Kidney Care of Vigo County for seven years. Don was certainly never a quitter.

Visitation for Don will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Wednesday, December 26 from 4-8 PM with services on Thursday, December 27 at 1:00 PM. Burial at Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn will follow. Tom Norris and Terry Whitlock will be officiating.
