Donna’s Obituary Oswego- Donna M. Babcock, 79, of Oswego passed away February 8, 2019. A native of Oswego, she was the daughter of Clarence and Clara (Scott) Thompson. Donna graduated from Oswego High School in 1958.

She worked at Whalens and LaRocks and she also worked as a waitress at Rudy’s Lakeside for many years. She met and married her husband, the late Ford Babcock and raised their four children. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

She loved to play bingo, was a big sports enthusiast who loved following her favorite teams, and she loved to travel. Surviving are her three sons; Ford A. III (Sherry), Paul, and John (Marti) Babcock all of Oswego; her daughter, Donna Gilman; two brothers, Jimmy and Gary (Carol) Thompson; three sisters, her twin, Dawn Thompson of Oswego, Joyce (late Art) Fitzgerald of North Carolina, and Patty (Larry) Keiper of Florida; eleven grand children; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Ford Babcock, her brother Paul Thompson, sister in law Sue Thompson, and brother in law Art Fitzgerald.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 12th, 2019 from 2-5 PM, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street, with a service to follow. A Spring Burial will be held at Rural Cemetery.
