Douglas’ Obituary Douglas E. “Shorty” Smith, Sr., 77 of Oswego passed away Tuesday evening at the Manor at Seneca Hill. Mr. Smith was born in New Haven and was the son of the late Bernard and Margaret Manwaring Smith. He was employed for many years as a truck driver for Eagle Beverage and various local trucking companies, most recently with Hoge Transportation in Springfield, TN.

Mr. Smith was the husband of the late Maggie Mittler Smith who died in 2000. He is survived by one daughter Carol A. Smith, two sons, Douglas E. Smith, Jr. and James D. (Angela) Smith all of Oswego, two grandchildren, Hunter M. Smith and Autumn Smith and several neices and nephews. Calling hours will be 4-7PM Monday February 11, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.

Spring burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
