Madison/Wellsville, UT- Donna Jean Diederich, age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Four Winds Manor in Verona. She was born on January 17, 1933 in Madison, the daughter of Alfred and Leone (Sutter) Wartner. Donna graduated from Edgewood High School in 1951 and then attended Edgewood College to become an Art Illustrator with the Board of Education.

She was married to Charles E. Diederich in 1954 and they enjoyed 30 years of marriage until his death in 1984. Her pride and joy was raising her five children and spending time with family. Her passions were enjoying the outdoors, riding horses, and pursuing her artistic projects.

Donna was a longtime member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, using her artistic talents to provide seasonal banners and decorations. She is survived by her children: Debbie (Scudder) Mackey, Nancy (Chuck) Carpenter II, Kari Diederich, Jeff (Michelle) Diederich and Tom (Brenda) Diederich; grandchildren, Erin, Michelle, Scudder, Chuck, Dana, Dan, Cory, Sean, Lexi, Ashley, Ambriel, Nick and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Mason, Loretta, Chuck, Max, Leslie, Claire, Alexis, Aaron, and Neveah; and also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Chuck, and her sister, Ginny Roberts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Drive, with Msgr. James Uppena officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Ryan Funeral Home, 220 Enterprise Drive, Verona and also from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Thursday at the church.
