Verona – Glen Richard Covey passed away on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018 at the age of 84. He was born in La Crosse, Wis. , the son of Adrian and Violet (Sorensen) Covey, and grew up on a dairy farm in NW Wisconsin.

He was a member of the U.S. Navy from 1952 – 1956, serving during the Korean conflict. He graduated from UW-Eau Claire and worked for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Animal Health for 28 years. He married the former Judith Majerus in Stillwater, MN in 1960.

Glen enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and golfing with his sons and coaching them in their sports. He was one of the founding members of Youth Hockey in Verona. He is survived by his wife, Judy, and was a proud father of three sons, Patrick of Hiram, OH, Bradley (Amy) of Middleton, Wis.

, and Jeffrey (Hillary) of Lake Elmo, MN; and beloved grandsons, Tyler, Austin, Carson, Jakob, Elijah and Wyn. He is also survived by a sister, Jeanne (Don) Jensen and sisters-in-law, Pamela Bolling, Mary (Robb) Totushek and Faye (Bill) Covey. At Glen’s request, there will be no funeral services.
