DeForest – Virginia “Ginny” M. Buhler, age 86, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at her home in DeForest. She was born on September 12, 1931 in Waunakee, the daughter of Constant and Margaret (Maly) Klein. Virginia graduated from Waunakee High School.

She married Frederick Donald “Don” Buhler in 1952 and together they raised their four children and worked on their farm. Farming was an important part of their family life. Virginia was a very active and dedicated member of St. Olaf’s Catholic Church in DeForest.

Virginia is survived by her children, Connie Lueck, Sun Prairie, Bonnie (Arne) Stronach, Columbus, Douglas (Jean) Buhler, East Lansing, MI, Kevin (Heidi) Buhler, Greenville; grandchildren, Amy, Tammy, Debra, Brenda, Abigail, Jacob, and ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Acker, Middleton and Margaret (Joe) Meier, Cross Plains. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; great-granddaughter, Morgan Turkelson; sister, Laura Blaska; and brother, Tony Klein. A special thank you to the many wonderful friends in the Springbrook Condo Community.

They helped make Virginia’s later years meaningful and fulfilling. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at St. Olaf’s Catholic Church, 623 Jefferson St., Deforest, with Fr. Vincent Brewer presiding.
