Murray February 04, 1950 – February 16, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Donna Lee Murray, 69, of Windham, NH passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday afternoon, February 16th, 2019 at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. She was born on February 4, 1950 in Methuen, MA to the late Mary (Jenkins) and Edwin C. Hughes. Donna attended local schools and graduated from Tenney High School in the Class of 1968.

She went on to earn her Associates Degree from Northern Es College. Donna worked at local banks in various roles before becoming a Kindergarten teacher and working for Taylor Country Day School for many years. When she moved on from teaching, she spent her later years working in receptionist roles; and also working locally in Windham at the Village Bean, where she loved talking to her friends that stopped in.

Donna loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed getting together with her church and high school friends, shopping, and attending annual family outings at Cobbett’s Pond. She was an avid Red Sox fan, sang in the church choir, and loved volunteering at the Lazarus House.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Douglas A. Murray of Windham; her children and their spouses, Brian and Laurie Murray of Merrimac, MA and Keith and Kristen of Windham; four grandchildren, Parker, Avery, Ellana, and Lila; her sisters, Carole Newman and her husband Fred of Potomac, MD and Brenda Hughes of Concord, NH; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as an extended church family from the congregation at Windham Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to The Lazarus House, PO Box 408 Lawrence, MA 01842.
