DONNA MAE DARKOWSKI, 81, of Petrolia passed away Saturday evening in the emergency room of Butler Hospital following a sudden illness stricken at home. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on Feb.

14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Joseph and Marie Louise Stiefvater Kazyak. Donna was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church at West Sunbury. She enjoyed bingo, playing “scratchie-tickets”, and the challenge of computer games.

She is survived by a son James G. Darkowski of Petrolia with whom she resided; two daughters: Diane (Bill) Ringeisen of Pittsburgh and Melissa Elk of Parker; eight grandchildren: Andy and Stacey Darkowski, Jocelyn, Juliann, Stephanie, and Will Ringeisen, Nicole Elk, and Bethany Hawk; also four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald W. Darkowski who passed away in Oct. 2012, son GeraldA.

Darkowski who passed in Dec. of 2016, sisters Cassi Wyman and Lori Kazyak. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 So.
