Obituary for Donnie Hanson Donnie Duane Hanson Haynesville, LA Funeral services for Donnie Duane Hanson, age 59, will be held at 10:00 am, Sunday, July 29, 2018, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in Haynesville, LA with Rev. Rodney Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Wares Chapel Cemetery, Emerson, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home. Mr. Hanson was born on October 31, 1958 to Nick and Lorena Ware Alford in Homer, LA and passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in Haynesville, LA. He worked as a crane operator for BandN contractors for 32 years, enjoyed the outdoors, fixing things, and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kayla Dickerson Hanson of Haynesville, LA; five daughters, Misty Hanson of Haynesville, LA, Karen Marr and husband, Henry of Haughton, LA, Heather Anderson and husband, Will of Doyline, LA, Shaun Keyes and husband, Sherman of Bossier City, LA, Katie Dickerson-Hanson and Jeremy of Haynesville, LA; son, David Hanson and Wendy of Waskom, TX; ten grandchildren, Stormee, Tristian, Ashtian, Cayden, Madelyn, Grace Ann, Kailyn “Bug”, Ryder, Kaison and Bentley; great-granddaughter, Lakelyn; two sisters, Connie Wright of Haynesville, LA, Kim Hawks and husband, Byron of Shreveport, LA; brother, Harlon Alford and wife, Ginna of Lewisville, AR; brother in-law, Mike Dickerson of Homer, LA; sister in-law, Kim Michael and husband, Mike of Lebanon, MO; two beloved pets, Mitzie and Pete; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and good friends. Mr. Hanson was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Hanson; brother in-law Richard Wright; and sister In-law, Sonya Dickerson. Pallbearers will be Tracy Gilbert, Troy Gilbert, Tyler Gilbert, John Beasley, Billie Dale Montgomery, Chris Nipper, Misty Hanson, Katie Dickerson-Hanson, and Julie Taylor.
