Don Olney, age 83, of Glenwood, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. He was born on July 13, 1935 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Everett Olney and Josephine Beatrice Holmes Olney. On December 10, 1983, he was married to Carolyn Marie Busby.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Duane Olney. Don was a retired color graphics printer and a United States Army veteran. He was a member of the Glenwood First Baptist Church and the Fish Nest Sunday school class.

He was active in the Glenwood Senior Citizens Center and in his earlier years, you would find him camping or hiking the trails near his home in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Olney of Glenwood; his sister-in-law, Pat Olney of Tacoma, Washington; and his nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 22, 2019, in the Glenwood First Baptist Church with Bro.

Erby Burgess officiating. Visitation with friends and family will be held that day from 1:00 PM until service time at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
