Dorcas Pruitt Little, age 89, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 in Williamson Medical Center, Franklin, TN. Although Ms. Little was a current resident of Franklin, TN she was born in the Yell Community of Marshall County on November 25, 1928 to Willie and Ruby Nichols Pruitt. She attended the Brentwood Baptist Church and was a graduate of MCHS “Class of 47”.

She was an animal lover, loved caring for her family and was an artist of both oil and watercolor paintings. She is proceeded in death along with her parents by her husband, Roy G. Little, DDS, a sister and brother-in-law, Bill and Opal Orr, and a brother, Joe Billy Pruitt. She is survived by two nephews, Joe (Kathy) Orr, David Hardison, a cousin and best friend, Ann Tipton, great niece, Jenny Orr, and great nephew, Clint Orr.

Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home with the Funeral Service to begin at 2:00 pm. David Wall will be officiating and burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. Pallbearers are Clint Orr, Joe Orr, Christopher Davis, Tim Davis, Jeff McKay, and David Hardison.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in Ms. Little’s memory. Notes of condolences may be sent to the family at www. billsmcgaugh.com.
