Doris F. Styer, age 80, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Sunday morning, May 27, 2018 at Aultman Hospital, Canton, Ohio following a short illness. There will be no services. Those wishing to make online condolences may do so by visiting www.

alexanderfhinc.com. Doris was born October 3, 1937 and Gnadenhutten, Ohio and was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Tyson) Burdett. She was a waitress at the Village Restaurant, worked in housekeeping at Castle Nursing Home and was a cook for the Holmes County Jail.

Doris formerly attended St John’s Church of Millersburg and was a volunteer at the Darb Snyder Senior Center in Millersburg. She loved playing BINGO in her spare time. Doris is survived by one son, Dan Styer of Lansing, Michigan; a grandson, Drew Steven Troyer of Portland, Oregon; three brothers, Frank Burdett Jr. of Barberton, Ohio, Clarence (Karen) Burdett of South Carolina and John Burdett of Coshocton, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Sandy Burdett; and good friends, Kathy Blake, Noreen McDowell and Carl Anderson all of Millersburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Cretus Burdett.
