Robert Lynn Noll , January 26, 1945 — April 25, 2018

Robert Lynn Noll, 73, of Millersburg, Ohio and formerly of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family, following an extended illness. Services will be held 4 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2018 at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Father Stephen L. Krile and Reverend Eldon Trubee officiating. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by the Killbuck VFW.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests that memorial contributions be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd. , Wooster, Ohio 44691. Robert was born January 26, 1945 in Akron, Ohio and was the son of Carl M. and Francis (Shook) Noll.

On December 19, 1998 he married Becky Butler, she survives. Robert grew up in Elmira, NY and was a graduate of The University of NC at Chapel Hill . He worked 5 years for the Fayetteville Police Department and retired from the Fort Pierce Police Department after 25 years of service.

After retirement, he worked 5 years in Loss Prevention at the Millersburg Walmart. Robert was a paratrooper in the US Army during the Vietnam war. He was a member of St Peter’s Catholic Church in Millersburg.

He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Treasure Coast Lodge #41 and the Millersburg Police Auxiliary where he enjoyed helping out with parades, basketball games and football games. Robert enjoyed camping, boating and being on the lake. He loved riding his four-wheeler, traveling, visiting Florida and spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Rebecca L. Butler-Noll are children, Russell L. Noll of Kentucky, Troy A. (Christina) Noll of Tennessee, and Rachel N. Butler of Millersburg; 13 grandchildren, Kelly Hollifield, Anthony Rose, Russell Noll-Reed, Andrew Noll, Jordan Noll, Opalinda Noll, Austin Noll, Trevor Noll, Emily Bennett, Justin Mathews, Eric Mathews, and Brayden Butler; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 siblings, Florence “Sis” Granger and Charles “Chuck” (Penny) Noll; numerous nieces and nephews; and his cat, Orion. He was preceded in death by is parents; grandparents, Charles and Consuelo Shook and Carl and Marie Rose Noll; a daughter, Teresa Ann Shilling; grandson, Matthew Noll-Reed; and 2 siblings, Arlene Noll and Carl “Sonny” Noll.
