Obituary for Doris Green (Borneisen) Doris Jean Green, 90, of Shippensburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Providence Place in Chambersburg. Born Monday, September 19, 1927 in Hazleton, PA. , Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Thelma E. Edwards Borneisen, Sr. Doris was a graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School.

She retired as Secretary from Letterkenny Army Depot. Doris was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church, Shippensburg, where she also worked as their secretary for over ten years. She was a member of the former First Court Chapter # 470 Order of the Eastern Star, Shippensburg, and the Martha Custis Chapter # 342 Order of the Eastern Star, Chambersburg.

Doris enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and donating most of her work to nonprofit organizations. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allan D. Green, Sr., one son, Allan D. Green, Jr.; two brothers, William H. Borneisen, Jr., Jonathan D. Borneisen, and one sister, Anne C. Zullinger.

Services and burial will be private.
