Obituary for Maryetta Tosten (McMullen) Maryetta N. Tosten, 91, of Shippensburg, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in Elmcroft, Shippensburg. She was born March 27, 1927 in Knobsville, Fulton County. Mary was a daughter of the late Nancy Naugle McMullen and her step-father Noah McMullen.

Mary worked as a seamstress in Shippensburg. She was a member of the Ridge Church of the Brethren for 65 years, and was a member of their Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Mary taught Sunday school children for many years and volunteered at the Brethren Home at Cross Keys.

She and her husband lived and farmed on the Ridge Road for 72 years. She is survived by her husband, Paul R. Tosten whom she married January 19, 1946, two sons, Donald R. (Linda) Tosten and Roger P. (Jackie) Tosten, two daughters, Linda Johnson and Tammy (Gerald) Johnson, five step-brothers, Robert and wife Donna, Glenn, Kenneth and wife Judy, Leonard and Noah, Jr., one step-sister, Betty, one sister-in-law, Mariam, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Richard Johnson and Edward Leab, two step-brothers, Calvin and Leroy, six step-sisters, Vivian, Leah, Nancy, Edith, Dorothy and Freda.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018 in the Ridge Church of the Brethren at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Matthew Tosten and The Rev. Leon Davis.

Burial will be in the Ridge Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg and one hour prior to the services at church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ridge Church of the Brethren, 1095 Ridge Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
