Obituary for Karen Rotz (Robinson) Karen F. Rotz, 71, of Dry Run, departed this life on the morning of Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at the Chambersburg Hospital. She was born in New Germantown, the daughter of the late Robert and Vera O’Donel Robinson and married George S. Rotz on March 12, 1967, in Chambersburg. Karen worked as an accountant for the former James River Co., Chambersburg, for thirty-three years.

She was the treasurer for the Fannett-Metal Fire and Ambulance Company for over twenty years. In her free time, Karen enjoyed bird watching (especially humming birds), playing solitaire, and researching her family’s genealogy. In addition to her husband of fifty-one years, George, she is survived by her son, Casey (Holly) Rotz of Amberson; two granddaughters, Alyssa and Rebecca Rotz of Amberson; and one brother, Curt Robinson of Landisburg.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by one brother, Kay Robinson. Her funeral services, entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg, will be private. There will be no public viewing or visitation.

Interment will also be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the American Diabetes Association or the American Kidney Foundation.
