Obituary for Robert Zeigler Robert Carroll Zeigler, 70, of Chambersburg, departed this life on the morning of Saturday, June 30, 2018, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on February 5, 1948, in Washington D.C., the son of the late Robert G. and Doris Nicholson Zeigler. Robert worked at a salesman for Interstate Ford, Shively Motors, Stakes Auto, and Keystone R.V.

He was known for his honest and practical approach in guiding his customers toward vehicles that would be a good fit for them. He never met an enemy and although he could be subtly sarcastic and a bit of a jokester, he possessed an infectious humor and always had a kind word for everyone. Robert was a member of the Shippensburg’s V.F.W., American Legion, and Minnequa Social Club; and Chambersburg’s Amvets and Marine Corps League.

He loved hunting, fishing, playing softball, doing yardwork, trips to the beach, and especially spending time with his loving family. He is survived by two daughters, Carroll D. (companion, Bryan Galloway) Zeigler of Newville, and Cassandra L. “Sandy” (Edward) Jeffries of Shippensburg; step-son, Kevin W. (companion, Sue Ott) Fogle of Shippensburg; step-daughter, Mindie S. Fogle of Shippensburg; three grandchildren, Kyle and Kendra Jeffries and Brooke Lindsey; great granddaughter, Evelynn Jeffries; his sister, Sharon (Rodney) Helmuth of Greencastle; and his first wife, with whom he remained friends, Gloria Zeigler of Carlisle. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Robert B. Zeigler; and his second wife, Judy (Bobby) Lippy.

His memorial service and visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care and Hospice at 2700 Luther Drive Chambersburg, PA 17202.
