George Wallace Thompson, age 75 Gardners, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at The Gardens of Gettysburg in Gettysburg. He was born Sunday, February 21, 1943 in Philadelphia the son of the late Wallace Thomas and Minnie Viola (Updegrove) Thompson. George was huge history buff loving to talk about all aspects of history.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Susan (Rhinehart) Thompson, son, Matthew Thompson (Katie) of Carlisle, daughters, Amy Marsh (Bryan Kuhn) of Mt. Holly Springs and Kristy Jewett (Matthew) of Carlisle, grandchildren, Trystan Kuhn, Masyn Kuhn, and Jeffery Thompson.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville, PA with Pastor Stuart Johns officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Idaville United Brethren in Christ Church, 3590 Carlisle Road, Gardners, PA 17324.
