Obituary for Wanda Gearhart-Shank Wanda L. Gearhart-Shank, 58, of Upper Strasburg went home to be with her Lord on Friday, June 8, 2018 after losing her long courageous battle with cancer. Born Tuesday, September 15, 1959 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of Gerald L. Gearhart, of Fayetteville, and the late Joan E. Robison Gearhart. Wanda was a 1977 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School.

She retired as a restaurant Manager for the Hardee’s Franchise after more than 30 years of service. She loved and cherished her family, she enjoyed the outdoors, gardening. Wanda was a very strong person who never complained about anything.

She is survived by her husband Doug A. Shank, one daughter, Jessica M. (husband Lee) Seymore, Chambersburg; one sister, Crystal A. Weller, Shippensburg; one brother, Gerald N. Gearhart; two nephews, W. Joel Gearhart, Charlotte, NC, and Levi A. Runshaw, Shippensburg, several loving step grandchildren, she is also survived by her four legged granddog, Diesel Mae. A celebration of Wanda’s life will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium with the Rev. Melissa Mankamyer officiating.

Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Harbor, P.O. Box 625, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
