Dorothy “Dottie” Barefoot, 65, wife of the late Roger Barefoot, died Wednesday, November 07, 2018, at Carolinas Hospital System, Florence. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Friday, November 9, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Pamplico.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Friday, November 9, 2018, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Mrs. Barefoot was born on October 25, 1953 in Florence County, daughter of the late Raymond Ard and Valerie Miles Ard. She was a graduate of Hemingway High School and was a member of Stone Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Pamplico.

Surviving are her children, Brandy Yarborough of Scranton and Shawn (Karen) Barefoot of Johnsonville; grandchildren, Kara Barefoot and Amara Barefoot; great grandchild, Kathryn Barefoot; and a sister, Barbara Cook. Mrs. Barefoot was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Ard. Memorials may be made to Stone Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1996 West Hwy 378-Hannah, Pamplico, SC 29583.
