Obituary for Dorothy E. Gillispie Dorothy E. Gillispie, 76, of St. Albans went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. She was both a loving wife and devoted mother, as well as a beloved sister and daughter. Dorothy will forever be remembered by her husband, children and family, as well as her best friend Eleanor Stambaugh.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Chandler; parents, William and Lucy Hensley; brothers, Donald and Billy Hensley; sisters, Dolly Larck and Virginia Wileman. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Shellie Gillispie; daughters, Lucy Hazlewood (Harold) and Joann Racer (Jeff); sons, Bobby Gillispie (Mary) and Shellie Gillispie; son-in-law, Greg Chandler of St. Albans; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; brothers, Luke Hensley and Chester Hensley (Rhoda). A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans with Pastor Jerry Cantley officiating.

Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home. A special thank you to her son-in-law Greg Chandler for his help during this difficult time.
