Zion Cemetery VISITATION: Saturday, March 16, 2019 Jones and Son Funeral Home 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Services will be held Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. for Mrs. Dorothy Mae Shoemaker, age 90, of Richton, at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton. Mrs. Shoemaker passed away to her heavenly home on March 14, 2019 at the Perry County Nursing Center in Richton.

Bro. Buddy Smith and Bro. Jason Howard will officiate with burial to follow in the Mt.

Zion Cemetery. Mrs. Shoemaker was preceded in death by her parents, Connie and Adell Davis; husband, Elmo Shoemaker; grandson, Trevor Henderson; son-in-law, George Taylor. She is survived by her son, Edmond Randall (Wanda) Henderson of Petal; daughters, Sherrie Ann Taylor of Richton, Iris Nadine (Danny) Ekes of Richton, Vanessa (Marcus) Freeman of Richton; sister, Myrtle Lee Freeman; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Shoemaker was a member of Sand Hill Methodist Church. The family would like to thank the caretakers of Perry County Nursing Center. Visitation will be Saturday, March 16, 2019, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home.
