Dorothy Orender ( nee Nimetz ), 78 of Homosassa, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at her residence with her family by her side. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy, before moving to Kissimmee, then to Homosassa, Florida for the last five years. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband Cecil N. Orender, who passed away in 2013; loving daughter of George and Mary ( nee Bumback ) Nimetz; dear sister of Michael, George, Charles Nimetz, Anna Giles, Rose Sabo, Mary Morvay and Lillian Sadowski.

She is survived by her beloved children Cynthia Orender, Doreen and her husband Harold Brown and Robert Orender; dear sister of Daniel Nimetz, Margaret Sawicz and Darlene Kondas; adored grandmother of 6 and great ~ grandmother of 2; cherished aunt of many nieces, nephews & cousins. We begin to leave on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 8:45 am from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for a Divine Liturgy at 9:30 am at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery.

Visiting is on Wednesday from 2 ~ 4 & 7 ~ 9 pm with a Panachida Service at 8:30 pm.
