Michael E. Olesak, 73 of Perth Amboy, passed away on Thursday July 5, 2018 at his residence. Michael was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and came to Perth Amboy 41 years ago. Mike graduated from South High School, Class of 1963.

He received his Bachelors Degree in Health and Physical Education from the University of Pittsburgh where he attended on a swimming scholarship. He was the Owner/Operator of Maximum Recovery Adjusters, located in Perth Amboy, for over 30 years. He retired in 2013.

Mike loved his Pittsburgh teams and cherished spending time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Michael “Ike” and Kathryn “Lamie ” (nee Gibbons) Olesak. Michael is survived by his devoted wife Dyana (nee Rosa) Olesak; beloved father of John Hicks and his wife Justine Lackey, adored grandfather of Willow Hicks, Mustafa and Aya Abdallah.

He was a dear brother of Kathryn A., Robert E. and his wife Denise Olesak as well as a loving brother-in-law of Gretchen and David Anagnos. He was a cherished uncle of Jamie and Matthew Olesak, Jenna Agostino, Marie Garcia and Mallory Ratajewski and a great uncle of Marshall and Emily Olesak. Funeral Services will be held privately.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy.
